Steve Yates, CHST – Senior Director of Business Development

Steve leads a full team of safety professionals and support staff working to secure the health and safety of hundreds of thousands of workers across North America.

Steve has a mechanical engineering background with vast experience in both manufacturing operations and construction technology. He is recognized for the development and implementation of effective safety management systems within many local, regional, and national firms. He is also a former OSHA outreach trainer.

A lifelong learner, Steve conducted his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois Chicago and completed further study at both the National Safety Council and the Construction Safety Council.

As a certified leadership coach, Steve is passionate about developing leaders within his clients’ organizations who will value and empower others to realize Amerisafe’s vision: Workers everywhere valued and safe.
