Safety in the metals industry. Often talked about, but what can you do to ensure that your organization is adhering to standards as well as improving the engagement, productivity, and profitability in your company? The Metals Services Center Institute looked to answer that question, and now brings together leaders for its annual Safety Conference. This year, Optimum Safety Management’s president and founder Steve Yates has been invited to present.

NAPERVILLE Ill.—September 10, 2015—The Metal Service Center Institute (MSCI) Safety Conference will feature Optimum Safety Management president and founder Stephen Yates, CHST. Yates will participate in the “OSHA Inspections: Mitigating Risk Panel Discussion”, and lead “On-Boarding New Employees” at the annual conference.

Scheduled for October 12-13, 2015 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel in Schaumburg, Ill., the MSCI Safety Conference is an annual gathering of leaders in the metals industry who are committed to creating a safe workplace environment conducive to increases in productivity, profitability, and engagement.

Mr. Yates will participate in Breakout Session 1B, OSHA Inspections: Mitigating Risk, from 10-11 a.m. on October 12, and lead Breakout Session 4B, On-Boarding New Employees, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on October 13.

  • OSHA Inspections: Mitigating Risk is a panel discussion in which Mr. Yates will join Matthew Horn and John Newquist to discuss steps that organization leadership must take to develop a plan in order to mitigate risk before, during and after an OSHA inspection.
  • On-Boarding New Employees will introduce attendees to the steps that leaders must take to reduce risk with proper training and orientation to your company’s safety culture and processes.
