LISLE, Ill. – Leading safety management and safety culture solution provider Optimum Safety Management® is thrilled to announce the addition of insurance industry veteran Scott Rasor to the team as Executive Vice President, Insurance and Risk Management.
Rasor’s hiring serves as another significant investment by Optimum to their customers’ safety and profitability, further committing to their mission of workers everywhere valued and safe.
Rasor brings more than 35 years of experience in the commercial insurance industry. Before joining Optimum, Rasor served as President of Construction for Zurich North America Commercial Insurance for nearly a decade. In this role, Rasor directed more than 300 employees underwriting all property and casualty insurance for large and mid-sized contractors focused on multi-line property, casualty, and specialty construction accounts and portfolio management.
“I spent 17 years in claims handling extremely complicated cases, followed by 18 years in underwriting where I led an organization with annual revenue of $1.8B,” said Rasor. “But I came out of college with safety degrees,” Rasor said, adding, “safety has always been a passion of mine and I’m really excited to tie the two together and bring additional value to Optimum’s clients.”
Optimum founder and CEO, Steve Yates said bringing Rasor in makes perfect sense. “Consider Scott’s experience on the carrier side of risk management – decades of knowledge from the inside – with his passion for safety and solution engineering and I can’t see how that’s not a win for our clients.”
In his new role, Rasor will focus on Optimum solutions that deliver maximum return on investment for customers in relation to their risk and exposure. He will also seek to expand Optimum’s base as a trusted partner for insurance carriers to offer their clients safety solutions.
